About

For more than 30 years, CFC has helped place over 550 children from Colombia, El Salvador, Honduras and other Latin American countries with families in the United States.

Today, we continue to work to find homes for more than 350 children in orphanages in Latin America. We provide clothing, supplies and gifts for the children living in these orphanages, and funds for Christmas parties. CFC sponsors young ladies to continue living in an orphanage in El Salvador so they can go to school and learn a living before facing the world alone.

Over the years CFC has sent many volunteer groups to El Salvador. Young adult adoptees, their parents and friends and medical personnel have volunteered their time and resources to provide basic medical services, and to build, paint and more, to enrich the lives of hundreds of children who live in orphanages.

CFC has also helped bring children from Latin America to the USA for life-saving medical treatment. And we established an ongoing program to provide milk for more than 100 underfed infants and toddlers in an orphanage in Santa Tecla, El Salvador.

For 18 years CFC has drawn families from all over the USA to Cleveland in June for a unique week-long Latin American Culture Camp for children adopted in Latin America and their families.

As an all-volunteer group, CFC has no overhead, so all donations go directly to our programs and services.

Concern for Children, Inc. (CFC) was founded in 1977 as a not-for-profit charitable organization (501(c)(3)). CFC is a support group for individuals and families touched by adoption. We focus on assisting and educating those interested in international adoption, providing guidance and support to families formed by adoption, and assisting children in need in Latin America.
